Saurav Ki Rasoi

First time here, not the first time trying Saurav's incredible food and, as always, he didn't disappoint us. A proper Indian restaurant (very rare in England), Saurav Ki Rasoi is a true food sensation. Every dish is fantastically cooked and presented and the flavours are simply divine. The menu is just perfect, not too long and not too short, with a great selection of fish, meat and vegetarian options. The restaurant itself is small, cosy and perfectly decorated. The service is fantastic, with Saurav and his lovely wife checking on you regularly. All in all, it couldn't be better and we will definitely be back!

We had such a fantastic meal for my birthday at Saurav Ki Rasoi. The name means Saurav’s Kitchen in Hindi, and that’s exactly how it feels – as though you’re being welcomed into the chef’s own home. The food was absolutely delicious – full of authentic flavours and served in wonderfully generous portions. You can tell this is a passionate couple running the restaurant; their warmth and genuine welcome make the whole experience personal and inviting. If, like us, you’d love to work your way through the menu, a little tip is to skip the poppadoms (they’re more crisp-like than traditional) and the starter – that way you’ll save some room for the main event, which is where the real magic is. For our mains we enjoyed Kolhapur Chicken, Pork Vindaloo, Chicken Supreme Makhani, plus naans, jeera and peas pulao, and the most delicious coconut rice. ​My family and I visited this restaurant last night and had an absolutely incredible experience. We have nothing but praise for this place—the food was simply amazing from start to finish. ​I highly recommend the duck starter. It was cooked to perfection and had an authentic, delicious taste. This is not your typical curry house; every dish is meticulously crafted and well thought out. ​When the chef came out to speak with us. He was so passionate about his craft, and it showed in every word he spoke. He explained in great detail how he prepared certain dishes and the time it took to achieve the final result. His dedication and love for cooking were truly inspiring, and the quality of the food was a testament to that. We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning soon!

Have been here 4 times already. The food is amazing! Come here if you want proper traditional Indian food. Well balanced flavours and different spices that all work together really well. So much better than the dishes served in most other British Indian restaurants that all tend to serve the same. Working my way through the menu so will be back to try more. Saurav is an artist!

We stumbled upon this delightful family run restaurant and we are so glad we did! Food was perfectly spiced, beautifully presented and came to our table hot…which is very much appreciated. The service was impeccable; and so kind…recommending a dish when I was looking for something they didn’t have on their menu. I’m so glad I took her suggestion; so much better than what I was looking for. We will be back!
